What is Botox (or Dysport)?
Botox injection is the most commonly performed cosmetic procedure worldwide. It treats wrinkles by relaxing the muscles that create them. Dr. Ghanem developed an advanced botox injection technique “Geometric botox injections”.Injecting Botox in small doses in the desired places, causes temporary muscle relaxation thus treating wrinkles.
Is Botox Safe?
botulinum has been used for over 30 years with no long-term side effects in adults using it for cosmetic purposes. Short-term side effects rarely occur and need to be discussed with your doctor.
Botulinum is safe to inject in small amounts to temporarily improve the appearance of wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes, and between the eyebrows. It is also safe to be injected in larger amounts to temporarily improve the appearance of a sagging neck or jowls.
When Should I Start using Botox?
Botox is started when the wrinkles at motion, resulting from facial expressions start digging into the skin forming wrinkles at rest or permanent marks. Botox is started to avoid the formation of these permanent lines.
